UPGRADED MAZDA3 DELIVERS AMAZING VALUE

Following the unveiling of the all-new four-door Mazda3 hatchback at the Bologna Motor Show this week, Rivervale Mazda is reminding drivers in Brighton that the current edition of the medium-sized family car is a fantastic purchase by offering 0 per cent finance.  Until 31 December 2008, customers can take advantage of a number of typical 0 per cent APR* finance deals across the whole range at the Victoria Road-based dealership.

"The current Mazda3 offers huge value for money, particularly on the Takara model with its generous specification," explained Malcolm Hance, dealer principal at Rivervale Mazda in Victoria Road.  "On top of that we have some excellent deals across the current range, making the Mazda3 a real family car bargain in these difficult economic times."

The 14-strong line-up of upgraded Mazda3 cars was introduced in May 2008.  Four new Takara models, priced from £13,310 on-the-road, replaced the previous TS variants.  Standard equipment on Takara models includes climate control air conditioning, electric front and rear windows (with global opening/closing), integrated steering wheel audio controls, driver's seat adjustable lumbar support, rear seat centre armrest plus 16-inch alloy wheels, leather rimmed steering wheel and gear knob, a trip computer and a 6-CD auto-changer.

The entry level Mazda3 S is available as a five-door hatchback powered by either a 1.4 84ps petrol engine or 1.6-litre 90ps diesel.  Additional equipment includes an auxiliary audio jack and 12V power socket, while the CD player is now MP3 compatible.  The on-the-road price now starts at £11,201.

New for the upgraded line-up are the two Mazda3 1.6 Sport models (hatchback and saloon), both priced at £14,886 until 31 December.  These models have most of the range-topping equipment from the 2.0 Sport –– such as the full Sport styling kit, 17-inch alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, rain sensing wipers and autolights, rear combination lamps with LED lights and a premium BOSE® audio system with seven speakers –– and three new items; chrome exhaust, black interior trim with red stitching and privacy glass.

The three Mazda3 2.0 Sport models are upgraded to feature leather seats as standard.  The two petrol versions are priced at £16,257 and the diesel at £17,626 until 31 December.

Mazda3 possesses one of the segment's best active and passive safety packages.  Active measures include an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) as standard on all models.  Passive measures encompass driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags, full-length curtain airbags (on all but the entry-level S hatchback), seatbelts with pretensioners and load‑limiters, and both a collapsible steering column and brake pedal.

The all-new five-door Mazda3 saloon made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month while the four-door hatchback was unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show on 3 December.  Models will arrive in showrooms in 2009.
